Lossless Text Compression Technique with LSB Technique to Hide Secret Message inside an Image (CLSB)

Abstract

Abstract— This paper presents CLSB algorithm to improve and increase the security ofhiding message inside an image by using Least Significant Bit (LSB) method. This research attempts to improve the way has been introduced in [1], where they use digital images to hide Secret Text files. This method is working by distributing data (BMP image format) randomly without use any table to store the path of hiding data. CLSB propose new method to reduce size of dictionary index. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to develop a new method to increase the security by adding a secret key to decode and improve the quality by using LZW method to reduce the size of text file before hiding. Author Biography

Hanan Ettaher Dagez, Faculty of Information Technology at university of Tripoli/Libya

I am holding Ph.D degree in computer science in field of e-learning from university of Malaya (2010) and my masters in field of software engineering project management from university Malaya (1999).

My working experience started 1992 as instructor and since 1999 as a lecturer. During my career I was elected Head of computer department, Head of information science department, Head general required course department and member of examination control committee member in Libyan Education ministry. 2009 part time lecturer for Masters degree at faculty of IT /University of Malaya.  

 

Currently I am the head of general required courses department, lecturer, supervisor for three masters degree and member of developing curriculum committee at faculty of information technology at University of Tripoli– Libya.
