Abstract

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has led to an exponential increase in data generated and shared over wireless networks, posing significant challenges in terms of security, privacy, and trustworthiness. This paper proposes a novel approach to address these challenges by leveraging blockchain technology for secure data sharing in IoT ecosystems. By decentralizing data storage and enabling tamper-resistant transaction records, blockchain provides a robust framework for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of IoT data. This paper outlines the key principles and mechanisms underlying blockchain-enabled secure data sharing in IoT networks, including cryptographic techniques, consensus algorithms, and smart contracts. Furthermore, it discusses the potential benefits and challenges of adopting blockchain in IoT deployments, as well as future research directions to overcome existing limitations and realize the full potential of decentralized and trustworthy connectivity in IoT environments.
