After deregulation of power system, system operator faces many challenges to manage transmission operations. This challenge further increase with rapidly growing share of renewables in generation mix. Further, these renewable power plants are located at remote areas and need long transmission lines of electric power for power transmission. Due to all these reasons, transmission lines are forced to operate at or very near to their operating limits and leads to congestion, that cause voltage limit violation and line overload. In this paper, a novel rescheduling based technical congestion management approach has been proposed that includes combined bidding plan between hydro and wind units of hybrid power market. Performance of the proposed plan has been studied by implementing it on modified IEEE-24 bus RTS system and its comparison has been done with existing individual bidding plan.
